About D & I Tool Grinding

D&I Tool began in 1988 as a family-run business that specialized in modifying cutting tools for several Houston-based oil companies. D&I’s success quickly allowed it to outgrow the original shop and move into a large, modern facility adjacent to George W. Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. This facility has allowed us to greatly expand our product offerings while simultaneously increasing our customer base, tool tolerances, and quality.

To meet the demand for larger and more complicated tools, D&I rose to the challenge by purchasing five Walter Helitronic Power Universal Grinding Machines. These machines give D&I the capability to produce virtually any type of cutting tool to meet the demanding needs of a wide variety of customer markets. We are capable of manufacturing and regrinding a variety of carbide tools including ballnose and end mills, step and form tools.
