We began in 1988 as a family-run business that specialized in modifying cutting tools for several Houston-based oil companies.

Our success quickly allowed us to outgrow the original shop and move into a large, modern facility adjacent to Houston’s George W. Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Our current site has afforded us the capacity to greatly expand our product offerings while simultaneously increasing our customer base, tool tolerances, and quality.

Modern & Precise CNC machines

With the purchase of nine CNC machines, D&I met the demand for larger and more complicated tools. These machines give D&I the capability of producing virtually all types of cutting tools for a wide variety of customer markets.

D&I manufactures and regrinds the following tools: high performance and general purpose end mills and custom form tools including HSS step tools and step drills. We also introduced a line of economy line end mills, both square and ball nose.
